Professor Norman Gray


Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Quinnipiac University (Connecticut, USA)

Professor Norman Gray is a senior biomedical scientist and engineer who holds eight international medical device patents. As a co-founder of a hi-tech biomedical device company, he directed the growth of the enterprise from an MIT-based medical research incubator to a multinational group of companies with around 80,000 employees.

As the Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Quinnipiac University, he is promoting the commercialization of ideas for numerous innovative projects and early stage start-up teams at Yale and Quinnipiac universities.

The EMT is a virtual institution: it consists of education and research groups operating more or less independently at the co-operating organisations. The main research areas are: electrical- and biosensoric, telediagnostic, illness prevention, health monitoring, medical image processing, motion analysis, genomik, bioinformatik, ambient assisted living, ergonomics, innovative interfaces, mental state analysis, serious games.
